Great Look & Fit but majorly leaked colour

Really nice fit, very comfortable. Unfortunately from the first wash on a low heat the colour ran out of them, destroyed several items in the wash with them. They continue to run in every single wash. Very frustrating and disappointing.

a bit disappointing

Bought these a while back, wanted to give them a proper go before writing any reviews, so now, after more than 6 months of use I can share my thoughts on them. First impression was great, loved the fit, the style, no restrictions in movements, ticking all the boxes they needed to tick to make them good climbing pants. But then came the fist wash... they massively leak color (got the brown ones) even when washed cold at 20°C, and not only on the first wash, they leaked color for months even though I was washing them rarely, only when they really needed it. I used them mainly for outdoor climbing and occasionally casually, but as the colder days swept in I started using them indoor climbing as well, and that's where the big disappointment came in.. after one fall on my backside while bouldering, they ripped open between the central stitch and the back pocket, and it was quite a big rip.. I've patched them up and still use them climbing, but for the price and what they're meant to be durability wise, they fell short, therefore 3 stars (I cant give them less than 3 as I really like the fit and the style, especially the side pocket which proved very handy, but I do feel disappointed with the overall durability and color leaks)

Great for climbing and everyday

As a taller climber (6’3” / 191cm, usually wear 32in waist, 34/35in leg) I’m always worried about length when you’re not offered a choice but the length is perfect in the medium. The slim fit is super comfy and looks great without sacrificing any range of movement.

Awesome pants, just needs belt loops

I have been climbing in The Fitz Roy pant for half a year now and they are almost everything you'd want from climbing pants. There is no restriction in movability, if I were able to do a split, I could do one in these pants. The reinforced knees makes placing kneebars way more comfortable. The only thing I miss are belt loops or a pullstring as the elastic band is not as tight as I'd like and in some movements the pants can scoot down just a bit. For that reason I'd suggest getting one size smaller than the fitting tool suggests, the stretchability makes sure it'll fit properly ( i.e. I'm 1.73m, 69kg and got the smallest size pants). Looks awesome though, you can just wear it to the pub afterwards.
