The Rab Men's Ascender Alpine Softshell Pants are a winter climbing essential for keen mountaineers and alpinists, offering superb freedom of movement for ascent's on the most extreme and challenging terrain. Out of Rab's Ascender range, the Ascender Alpine Softshell Pants are the most durable and protective and built with a high wind and weather resistant, two-layer Matrix™ softshell, whilst the flexible mid-weight fabric construction offers warmth in the harshest weather. Reinforced kicker patches provide protection on the lower leg from rugged terrain and crampon spikes.
The Ascender Alpine Softshell Pants offer a customisable fit with a semi-adjustable waistband, hook-and-loop waistband tabs, and the option to wear with a belt or detachable braces, whilst its high waistband fits seamlessly with a harness, and articulated knees and a long length gusset enable complete freedom of movement when climbing. Things are kept breezy thanks to two concealed zipped thigh vents and the zipped ankle gusset allows the hem to widen to accommodate larger winter climbing boots. The Ascender Alpine Pants two front hand pockets and one rear pocket with dependable YKK zips throughout.
