They also feature boot gaiters and a lace hook as well as a jacket connector system to keep out the pow.

InfiDRY 10K
InfiDRY is 686’s very own waterproof and breathable fabric that undergoes a unique three-stage waterproofing process to make sure you stay warm and dry in all conditions. Similarly to fabrics such as Gore-Tex, the functional ingredient is a microporous membrane full of microscopic holes. These holes aren’t big enough to let water in, but are big enough to allow sweat from your body to escape into the outside world. InfiDRY 10 has a waterproof / breathability rating of 10K / 8K, making it ideal for lift-accessible fun in all kinds of conditions.
Bemis Critically Taped Seams
All 686 outerwear has seams sealed with Bemis brand seam tape, which ensures the best durability and protection from the elements. This garment has critically taped seams, which means that only high-exposure seams have been sealed to stop water seeping in through the stitching. This provides protection from the elements in areas where you need it the most, while keeping costs a bit lower.
Cordura Reinforced Hem
Cordura is a brand that makes synthetic fabrics that are world-renowned for their durability and abrasion resistance. 686 use Cordura fabric to beef out the back hems of their snow pants, meaning you can walk on them and they can take repeated abuse from boots and bindings with out ripping or wearing away.
