• The rope does not inflate and stays softer for longer

1 Rope 1 Tree
Beal takes their environmental responsibility seriously. They divide their efforts between two main approaches. Firstly, Beal run an exceptional programme, in which they plant a tree for every single dynamic rope purchased. They’ve been doing this since 2007 and have no plans to stop! Secondly, Beal organises the recycling of ropes when they reach the end of their life. Every Beal rope is recyclable, and anyone can send their used Beal rope to one of their recycling departments, where they are broken down and reused. Top work Beal! I've used this rope every weekend since i got it, and isn't showing any signs of wear. The rope is on the thicker side and has a tendency to lock the life guard if rope is pulled too fast, but you get feel for when to feed pretty fast. The rope coiled on the first use, since then no girgir coiling issues.
Two seasons in and this rope has plenty of life left! Perhaps overkill for a first rope, but the 10.5mm diameter and 11-fall beal rating inspire a lot of confidence when projecting hard leads. The dry cover and unicore are added safety features dealing with the humidity and sharp rocks/ledges in my region (eastern USA). It may be on the bulky/heavy side, but I prefer peace of mind as I learn more advanced techniques outside. I only wish I bought the 70m version!
