DMM 8mm Dyneema
The DMM 8mm Dyneema is made from the only material to be trademarked as "the world's strongest fiber". (For a full explanation of how this fiber achieves its trademark and the many other ways it saves people’s lives outside of rock climbing, see the features list below.)” The DMM 8mm Dyneema advantage at the crag is that the skinny profile of the tape means that you can take advantage of much narrower threads and the sling is less likely to slide off marginal spike placements.

Dyneema: “The World’s Strongest Fiber”
Dyneema is used in various forms of climbing protection, but its application as a life-saving tool expands much further than the sport of climbing. This is because, on a weight-for-weight basis, Dyneema is 15 times stronger than steel and is 40 percent stronger than aramid fibers, such as kevlar. You wouldn’t expect it, but Dyneema fiber is regularly used in armoured vehicle protection, as well as in bullet-resistant vests that are capable of withstanding knives, handgun and rifle fire, or even armour piercing rounds. It is a gel-spun, multi-filament fiber that is created from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene - a common chemical combination used in many plastics - however, it has many qualities useful for climbing: fire-resistance self-extinguishing, can withstand extreme cold and hot temperatures, and even floats on water. Tested in life-threatening situations across the world, Dyneema is the ultimate in safety and protection.
