The Petzl Finesse is an ultra-light quickdraw sling made from Dyneema - the only material to be trademarked as "the world's strongest fibre" - with anti-abrasion technology (for a full explanation of how this fibre achieves its trademark and the many other ways it saves people’s lives outside of rock climbing, see the features list below). Not only do they use the strongest fibre available on the market, the Petzl Finesse quickdraw slings also include STRING webbing protection on the rope end to protect the webbing from abrasion while keeping the carabiner in position. An ultra-strong and hyper-light sling for climbs where every gram counts.

Dyneema: “The World’s Strongest Fiber”
Dyneema is used in various forms of climbing protection, but its application as a life-saving tool expands much further than the sport of climbing. This is because, on a weight-for-weight basis, Dyneema is 15 times stronger than steel and is 40 percent stronger than aramid fibers, such as kevlar. You wouldn’t expect it, but Dyneema fiber is regularly used in armoured vehicle protection, as well as in bullet-resistant vests that are capable of withstanding knives, handgun and rifle fire, or even armour piercing rounds. It is a gel-spun, multi-filament fiber that is created from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene - a common chemical combination used in many plastics - however, it has many qualities useful for climbing: fire-resistance self-extinguishing, can withstand extreme cold and hot temperatures, and even floats on water. Tested in life-threatening situations across the world, Dyneema is the ultimate in safety and protection.
