Black Diamond MidWeight Softshell Gloves
Heavyweight, lightweight - Black Diamond went for the middle ground. The MidWeight Softshell Gloves provide the dexterity and breathability of a softshell and adds PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation on the back of the hand for extra warmth. These gloves are designed for use in alpine environments where the user will experience low levels of contact with snow, rain, and ice, but its Durable Water Repellent treatment provides a first layer of defence against the wet, and its highly water-resistant synthetic down minimises loft loss so the glove stays warm even after contact with moisture. The Black Diamond MidWeight Gloves are ideal for anyone seeking the lightweight performance of a softshell with extra, weather-resistant insulation in colder environments.

PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation
PrimaLoft® is a hydrophobic, synthetic down fibre that, unlike natural down, resists water absorption. It was originally developed by the U.S. Army's R&D team, who were tasked to create an alternative to down that could withstand exposure to moisture yet still be highly warm, breathable, and compressible. Today, PrimaLoft® is considered the industry best in synthetic insulation, and Gold Insulation boasts the ability to retain 96% of warmth, even when soaking wet.
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) Finish
An ultra-thin chemical coating applied to technical garments as the first line of defence against wet weather. This coating creates thousands of densely packed polymer “hairs” that prevent water droplets from reaching the surface of the jacket and encourages them to bead together and roll off. The first line of defence against wet weather.
