Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Down Hooded Jacket Men - Last Season's
The award-winning Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer™ Down Hooded Jacket lives up to its name: the world’s lightest full-featured hooded down jacket you won’t even feel is there. Rather than a cold chill, the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer™ Down Hooded Jacket gives you welcomed warmth through your body, with a Q.Shield® DOWN that is water-repellent, insulates when wet, and lasts a lifetime. A lightweight jacket that is unparalleled when it comes to layering performance.
|MATERIAL||Whisperer 7D x 10D Ripstop / 100% Nylon (body fabric content)|
|INSULATION MATERIAL||72 g. Q.Shield™ Down 800-Fill|
|WEIGHT||7.7 oz. / 219 g|
Q.Shield® DOWN infuses down fibers with water repellency to maintain insulating performance even when exposed to moisture - the achilles heel of untreated down. Because it's part of the molecular structure of the shell materials, it doesn't wear off, and will last as long as the material itself.
Ripstop stops rips!
Ripstop fabrics are fabrics woven with special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. Used in sails, hot air balloons, kites, and parachutes (disclaimer: jacket will not work as a parachute… or at least hasn’t been tested to).

This product delivers what it promises: high quality down and great face fabric. Also, it has very good warmth to weight ratio. It stores well, in fact I pack mine in a 2 liter dry bag.
I've never owned a down jacket before and had spent a lot of time doing research on them.
As someone that moans about being cold a lot of the time I can now moan about being too warm.
The jacket is as advertised, laughably light and bloody warm, even when you're not wearing much at all.
I wasn't too fussed that it didn't have inner breast pockets as they're not a feature I've had good experiences with in the past anyway. The side pockets will fit the largest hands, and the jacket folds nicely into the right pocket.
