Scarpa Arpia Climbing Shoe

The Scarpa Arpia is designed to bridge the gap between beginner and high-performance shoes. The last's slight downturn and moderate asymmetry balances comfort and performance to provide sensitivity and precision without being so uncomfortable that it can't be worn on longer routes, or by feet that will need time to adjust to more aggressive shoes. The sole is stiff at the front to offer support on edges and longer routes, but because it's only 2/3 length it won't be hinder smearing ability. All of this makes it a great all-round shoe for the intermediate climber, or a great all-day shoe for the more experienced climber who's after a supportive, comfortable shoe for multi-pitch or trad climbing.

Scarpa Arpia

Great shoes! Comfortable, precise on edge, stiff but still enough soft to smear. I love these shoes! It has always been a battle for me between entry-level (comfortable/not precise) and high-level shoes (very uncomfortable but precise).. found a solution with the Arpia! Fast and safe expedition to Italy. I wear 42 and bought 41, just perfect.

Bought them as a back but....

I got a pair as a back up for when my sending instinct laces went in for a resole and they are now my go to all day everyday tread shoe.... super grippy and supportive enough to crank on tiny footers . Great price great shoe.... i would recommend a slightly smaller size as it’s basically a slipper variant and does stretch a bit

Great all-rounder

This is my second shoe after my beginner shoes. And i can say im very happy about my choice, they are very comfortable and great on edges. the front is very stiff and the middle is quite flexible. the only bad thing about this shoe is smearing. since the front doesn't flex. So if you like to smear a lot i'd advise buying a softer shoe.

Very good but...

There is quite a bit of dead space in my heel leading to slipping on some harder heel hooks but over all a very comfortable all round d shoe for long high performance use my one issue. Is the heel otherwise great
