La Sportiva Katana Laces Climbing Shoe
The La Sportiva Katana Laces is the laced version of the much loved Katana VCS, THE all-round shoe designed for beginner climbers seeking to up their climbing game as well as experienced climbers in need of a versatile shoe that can perform in any situation. The La Sportiva Katana Laces also have a wider fit than the original, so it should feet those with medium feet better this time around.
The La Sportiva Katana Laces is very much the same as the VCS, but it has been made to be slightly more rigid and includes P3® Technology that helps maintain the shoe's powerful shape after heavy abuse. La Sportiva have rated it 4/5 on their rigidity scale (the VCS is rated 3/5), which is probably down to the laces, which will give the shoe a slightly firmer and less flexible feel. This more precise fit and stabler feel of the shoe will be ideal for anyone who leans towards more vertical climbing with lots of edging, but this is still a great all-round shoe and can be used for bouldering and technical routes.
As for comfort and fit, Sportiva have used two materials in the shoe: the upper part of the shoe is Lorica, a water-repellent and breathable fabric, and the lining is a material called "Pacific" designed for stretchy comfort in the toes and heel. La Sportiva recommend fitting the VCS slightly on the loose side, but bear in mind that its lined interior will stretch up to 1/2 a size.

Vibram XS Edge™
Rubber compound built for maximum performance on micro holds and extreme edging. This formula uses an improved plastic deformation resistance that ensures the utmost stability, rigidity, and support on footholds in hot or cold weather, as well as generally increasing durability.
P3® Permanent Power Platform
After intensive abuse, downturned climbing shoes can start to lose their distinctive shape. La Sportiva’s P3 rand system prevents from this happening so your shoe maintains its powerful profile, permanently.

These are my go to shoe, on my second pair now because i couldn't find anything else that gave me the fit, comfort and performance I wanted. Used primarily for bouldering on plastic and the local granite these are great for tiny edges or crystals, with a nice bit of down turn and a really solid heal. A nicely padded tongue offers a bit of comfort. and the laces allow me to adjust the shoe to fit my odd shaped feet. Even better with a 20% off voucher! Definitely recommend.
These climbing shoes are amazing. I only have climbed with them once because they still hurt quite a lot so I am using them at home to watch tv series and get used to them. My girlfriend loves to play footsie while I have them because they are really soft on the outside. Great!!
Despite is quite asimetric shoe is comfortable and it perfectly adapt to your foot. It's very precise and is suitable for almost every kind of climbing.
PD. EpicTV has great client service. It's nice to recieve some grateful handwritting :)
Great service from EpicTV as usual! Shoes are great, bought 1 Eu size smaller than street shoe. Very tight in the beginning, but after a few climbing days they have expanded to fit perfectly! :)
The last pair of climbing shoes did not fit my heal really well and a soon as i got this pair i rushed to the gym and healed hook every thing that i could. They fit well and are grate on the wall but i will not call them comfortable ( i was expecting this ).
The price is really good, they arrived in less then a week and the receipt was signed by hand with a "thank you" in my language :).
