Five Ten Quantum
The Five Ten Quantum: luckily, you don't need a Masters in physics to understand how this climbing shoe works. Quite simply, the Quantum is an all-round performance shoe designed for a diverse range of climbs with many different features and angles. The Huber brothers (one of which actually does hold a Masters in physics), Alex and Thomas, who were the pair that ended Hans Florine's 5-year hold on the record speed ascent of The Nose, El Capitan, in 2007, worked with Five Ten to make a comfortable performance shoe, ideal for climbers tackling aggressive and long overhanging routes or technical and varying big wall and multipitch climbs. A true performance all-rounder.
Versatile Stealth® C4™ rubber provides the best adaptability on all types of climbing, while a moderately downturned shape with a slightly wider asymmetric last than Five Ten's traditional constructions allows the foot to sit in a more natural position. Quite interesting; this variability allows for comfort off-load and performance whilst climbing. The stiff midsole is as supportive as possible to prevent calf-pump on longer climbs and improve edging performance. And the tongue is a perforated Ariaprene which moulds to the foot and enhances breathability.
The Quantum features a lined synthetic upper that will not stretch and requires no breaking in. Being a comfort-performance shoe, we advise fitting the Quantum in the middle area of loose and snug for the best balance.
If you are used to the old FiveTen when it was manufactured in the US then we suggest going a whole size up for the same fit

Stealth® C4™ Rubber
A high-friction rubber used on the majority of Five Ten’s shoes due of its all-round performance and versatility. Five Ten first debuted this rubber on the original approach shoe, the Five Tennie, in 1985, and since then Stealth rubber has always been developed by Five Ten themselves in direct conjunction with their shoes, unlike other shoe manufacturers who outsource their rubber. The result is a rubber that works with your shoe harmoniously.

No offence Adidas but these are like a bad copy of what used to be my go-to shoe. Shame on you Adidas and shame on yo 5:10. Not that they're badly made, they're just not the same shape or fit. Like somebody followed a recipe using more or less the same ingredients in approximately the right proportions but without any knowledge of the culture underpinning the dish. These shoes are a Sezechuan hamburger.
very nice shoe but difficult to fit. I have verdon 42 and it was suggested for 42 also but I couldn't even wear it.
The performance of the Quantum is exellent. You can climb everything them. The C4 Grip is insanely good. I absolutely fell in love to these shoes.
I usually wear 41,5 in my casual shoes and i ordered 41 and they fit perfectly.
The quality is also very good. Five Ten never dissapoints !
