Five Ten Hiangle Climbing Shoe

The Five Ten Hiangle is regarded as one of the more comfortable top end shoes due to having less asymmetry in comparison to other models. This makes it a great entrance into wearing a more aggressive shoe, but will still give you the performance needed to reach the highest of grades. The synthetic upper has marginal stretch, this makes it easier to size from the start because the internal volume will not change radically. A combination of an elastic closure with velcro strap provides a nice balance between a slipper and velcro shoe, easy to get on and off as well as being a secure fit. The Hiangle is now made with a split outsole making it more flexible for better performance in competition style indoor climbing and on volumes, it balances sensitivity and support with a heavily downturned last, for high performance sport climbing and bouldering, excelling on overhanging terrain.

- Aggressive downturn for technical bouldering and sport routes
- Unlined microfiber upper retains shape and snug fit
- 3.5mm Stealth® C4 rubber sole sticks to barely there edges and Stealth® HF on the heel
- Elastic slipper with velcro strap

Hiangle Climbing Shoe

Stealth® C4™ Rubber

A high-friction rubber used on the majority of Five Ten’s shoes due of its all-round performance and versatility. Five Ten first debuted this rubber on the original approach shoe, the Five Tennie, in 1985, and since then Stealth rubber has always been developed by Five Ten themselves in direct conjunction with their shoes, unlike other shoe manufacturers who outsource their rubber. The result is a rubber that works with your shoe harmoniously.

Best shoes on my arsenal

The shoe is a true upgrade. Still got the essence of the original Hi Angles but fancier. I’ve tested choses for 15 years and this are my favourite for stew terrain. KMPORTANT: just get a really tight fit, they’ll adapt to your feet and they are super comfy. Excellent shoe overall

Not as good as the old one

New hiangles are different than the old blue ones. In the old ones, I liked the single sole and how it fits my feet. However, new one feels a bit baggy on my feet and the heel is massive, making it harder to get in and out. I wish they made the strap a bit longer so that I could have it wrap my feet completely.

Still a good shoe though, depending on the shape and size of your fit, it might be a good fit. Not the best for me though.

Great over all performing show

I recently got myself a pair of these and straight away became one of my favourite climbing shoe. I am a size 10 street shoe and bought these in a 9.5. The fit was very tight at the start but after about a week or so of climbing the loosened up quickly and found them to be only just slighty to big for me. I have a wide fore foot and a very low volume heel. The fore foot in this shoe is absolutely perfect for me but the heel does feel like it is a bit baggy while pulling hard on the heel (this is probs due to my weird shaped foot). Over all the show climbs very very well. Coming from scarpa vsr the heel imo fits better and is a better over all shoe. Only reason this is not a 5 star is due to some pretty obvious fixes to do with the build quality. Something as simple as the heel rubber not being tucked under something causes it to peel off for many of the people I have talked to but not all (atleast yet). I highly recommend this shoe and the over all performance is great, also to add that the shoe looks amazing for the first we while before it gets very dirty as you would expect from a white shoe existing in dirty rock climbing conditions haha.

Good but some quality issues

I've had two pairs of these now, the heel fits really well for my wide heel. The first pair delaminated after about a month but performed really well. The second pair feel substantially bigger and bulkier than the first pair. Which is a bit annoying, since the first fit so we'll.

Anyway I've heard five ten is getting axed by adidas soon so it doesn't really matter.
