Five Ten Hiangle Climbing Shoe

The Five Ten Hiangle has a slightly stiffer midsole than other aggressive, down-turned climbing shoes to give your feet that extra support and precision whilst edging. An unlined leather upper makes this slipper super comfortable and breathable for those steep, technical climbs, while a less-asymmetric profile makes this a great transitional shoe from someone making the jump from a less aggressive to a more aggressive climbing shoe.

Stealth C4

Tried and true, Stealth C4 is a specially developed rubber used in the soles of Five Ten climbing shoes. It is super soft and sticky, which allows climbers to stick to barely-there edges, lock into smears on microscopic nubbins and cruise up technical terrain with unparalleled confidence in their footwork.

A new way to edge

I used many different shoes from different brands but none of them have felt this accurate and this good from the first time I put them on.

I struggled to get my foot in the first time and thought they were going to be way too small but when foot slipped into it I immediately noticed that I didn't feel any sore spots. It fitted perfectly everywhere. All around my toes and around my heel there was a snug fit that didn't hurt.

When using them on slabs I found faith in my footing that I never had before because of the accuracy that they provide. The smallest edges felt massive.

On overhanging routes the advice "just pull on your toes" finally made sense. They are incredibly well suited to pull on edges to keep your body close to the wall both while bouldering and in longer routes.

The snug fit around the heel also gives you a lot of accuracy. You feel what you are doing. The edge on the heel gives you a bit more confidence in your heelhooks.

The design of the shoe around your toes with the cuts in the rubber allow for the shoe to bend to your feet a bit without overstressing the rubber which makes for good longevity. Also the rubber on the top of the shoe makes it great for toehooking and for pushing to assist your other foot if you have to stand up on one leg.

Overall a great shoe that I would recommend to everyone. I'm on my third pair now and have no intention of looking for another shoe.
