Evolv Agro Climbing shoes

The Evolv Agro is a high-end, specialist climbing shoe designed primarily for hard bouldering and red pointing tough sport climbs.
With a similar yet further performance orientated last to the highly popular Shaman 2, the Evolv Agro provides superb sensitivity and feel on steep ground, whilst also providing even more traction on hooks and foot cams through a seemingly rubber-plated synthetic upper.
The recently developed TPS (Tension Power System) technology pulls the forefoot from three different points into a downturned power position, thus maintaining the optimal curvature that often collapses over time on other midsole-less shoes. The ‘Cinch’ single pull closure system gives a supportive and powerful fit with easy entry and keeps buckles out of the way from aggressive toe hooks.

Good shoe

This is my first agressive shoe. It was pretty uncomfortable at first but it got better after a while. I climb 1-3 times a week and the break in period was about a month and a half. The rubber on them is good for edging but it felt slippery for the first 3 months. After that it got better. I got them 6 months ago and the sole is just starting to get thin but I like it that way since it’s perfect for smearing and gives good sensibility. The shoe lost a bit of its downturned shape but not too much. The toe patch is amazing. The heel is good but a bit too stiff and it struggles on smaller holds where sensitivity is needed. I wear them size 11 US and my street shoe is size 10.5.

Positively suprised

I order my first pair of Evolv because the toe hook looked good. That is exactly my new proj requires. Also, I wanted to find a replacement for years of suffering in LS Solutions. I was positively surprised.

Sizing: I went to my street shoes size. It is very good for indoor climbing. You typically do not need so small feet there , thus a snug fit is not needed. For outside I now would go 0,5 sizes smaller. I have quite wide feet. I would not recommend the shoe for narrow footed.

Quite soft and sensitive shoe, mid aggressive. Work inside and outside. Very good shoe indeed. I would order it again.

Easy to put on.

Love the size of the opening of this shoe. Easy to air out and put on. Does get a little hot. Street shoe size fits, would half size down for LV foot when/if purchasing again
