Find the best size for you
The Typhoon is Edelrid’s go-to performance sport climbing and bouldering shoe. The asymmetric profile and highly down-turned shape make it a super aggressive, advanced climbing shoe, which is sensitive but doesn’t compromise on performance where edging is concerned. A specially designed heel strap transfers power to the toes for added grip and hooking capability, and the high tension moulded heel takes care of heel-hooking. The perfect balance of a leather and synthetic upper make for a snug but comfortable fit, which stretches where and when you need it to.

Green / Black
E-grip is a patented rubber compound that’s used by Edelrid in all their climbing shoes. It’s designed to be sticky, sensitive and durable for optimal performance while climbing.
Edelrid Heel Strap
Edelrid’s specially-developed green heel strap is designed to transfer power generated in the heel all the way through the foot to the big toe area. This means maximum power, stability and precision where you need it most.
Dual Powerstrap Closure
The dual powerstrap closure allows for a precise, adjustable fit, and is much quicker and easier than lace closure systems. Placing the straps on opposite sides of the shoe means that friction can be generated from both sides, similarly to a lace system, which provides a more even, balanced fit.
What Others Have to Say About the Edelrid Typhoon...
"The toe of the shoe felt very positive from the very first wear which enabled me to climb with confidence, particularly important whilst slab climbing. The slightly stiff sole was great for edging outside and gave support on pocket and slab climbing."
