Boreal Synergy Climbing Shoe
The Boreal Synergy has slightly less downturn than the other high performance models in Boreal's line but with a minimalistic construction is the most sensitive shoe they have to offer. The high asymmetry provides precision on micro holds and edges and the low-profile straps secure the heel whilst maintaining flexibility. This sensitivity makes the Synergy most effective on outdoor boulder problems with tiny footholds and gym climbing.

This is the first pair of Boreals I've purchased in almost 25 years, I have to say I'm super impressed. As a soft shoe they need to be super tight, I only needed 1/2 a size down from my street shoe to get a really tight fit...but they are very comfy. The rubber is good, the toe shape powerfully but without being too downturned and the soft heel cup provides really excellent heel hooking even when pulling hard on marginal hooks.
They are too soft for standing on thin edges or small chips, but that's not what they are designed for.
