Black Diamond Momentum Climbing Shoe
Highly comfortable beginner's climbing shoe. The Black Diamond Momentum features a unique knit design that's unlike any other climbing shoe on the market. Engineered Knit Technology provides stretch where it's needed, support in key areas, and exceptional breathability. A microfibre liner in the front of the shoe minimises stretch to maintain a performance fit in the toe area. The durable rubber is moulded rather than cut from a sheet of rubber, maximising weight savings and increasing overall durability. The soft flex midsole is highly comfortable, suitable for beginner's. The Momentum provides all-day comfort, whether it's for bouldering, gym, sport climbing, or multi-pitch.

I'm a beginner. I can only do VB-V1 easily, I can do most V2 (some with difficulty) and some V3.
I bought the 44.5 EUR / 10 USM because that's the number I used to rent in the climbing gym I go to - and It's also my street shoe size. It didn't fit. So I bought the 45 EUR / 10.5 USM, and it's still tight, it hurts A LOT. I can't wear them for long periods of time. However, I was expecting them to stretch a bit over time, so I kept the 45. They seem larger now and hurt way less than the first time I wore them.
They are great. I couldn't solve any problems that had tiny foot holds before using the shoes my gym rents. Now these foot holds don't feel so small anymore with the Momentum shoes. These shoes give my feet fingers a lot of strength. They also provide a lot more friction.
These are a good investment.
A someone who is used to Decathlon's climbing shoes, these are a bit smaller than their size counterparts. However, they mold very nicely to the foot if you leave them a bit in the sun. Once heated up, they grip, bend, edge and smear very decently and they are an excellent pair of beginners climbing shoes.
That being said, I do not believe that the price is justified, and would rather wait for some discount or something.
I was very eager to get those BD. So immediately put them to test. Initially I used 42.5 size but exchange them for 43 my street size. Unfortunately I am not eager to used them
a lot in future because I cannot handle the blisters that I am getting every time I have session with them.
Pros: Rubber, quality material.
Cons: Does not fit me, and the textile rubs my skin.
In the past i have used Tarantula, Tanta and Otaki and I did not have the problem I have with Momentum.
If it fits you and you are ok with Textile is a nice shoe.
I bought a pair of these shoes 6 months ago, I have used them extensively over the last half year(3 times a week minimum). In my opinion these shoes are fantastic. They have great edging performance. For a beginner I would highly recommend these shoes.
One draw back of these shoes is that they do stretch, and the heel does then become loose and will not work well for heel hooking.
Positives of this shoe are: they look awesome, they are comfortable, they are the same size as your street size, and the breathability that is advertised is definitely something that works.
Despite the drawbacks of the heel,
A great climbing shoe for beginners. The size is almost the same as the Five Ten. It's very comfortable. The rigidity is between la Sportiva and Scarpa. The rubber is rather sticky and holds on small edges. Velcro system holds great. All in all the recommendations for this product
