Smooth

I have bought this device as a backup, where my MegaJul falls short. It is very easy to handle, and performs great in guide mode and in rappels (unlike the megajul). It doesn't generate a lot of friction when bringing up a second, and facilitates a smooth rappel (just be sure to back it up with a prusik)
It's not the lightest, or the smallest belay device out there, but it is the most effortless to use out of all the other devices that I've tried.

Black Diamond ATC Guide

Excellent belay device. Lightweight and yet reassuringly robust. Perhaps a little small for use with thicker ropes however.

one of the best

I have not used it, but my instructors told me that it is one of the best
