Boreal Lynx Climbing Shoe
The Boreal Lynx is a performance all-round climbing shoe for trad, sport climbing, and bouldering, taking the term "all-round" seriously.
The Boreal Lynx is naturally at home on all angles of climbs, but its slightly stiffer midsole excels at preventing foot fatigue on longer routes, providing stability on micro edges, and creating a stiff platform to jam into cracks. But don't be fooled: its moderate downturn and medium asymmetry balance performance and comfort equally to handle any terrain past the 90 degree, and the Zenith Pro rubber, Boreal's maximum friction compound used on all their high-performance shoes, provides stick on steep holds, edges, and smears. As climbing shoes go, the Lynx is easy to fit: a double-tension V2 rand secures the heel firmly within the shoe whilst both edging and heel blocking, and a to-the-toe lacing system, not often used on climbing shoes nowadays, secures the right fit right down to the little toe.
The Boreal Lynx has everything you need from an all-round shoe: performance balanced with comfort, friction combined with edging, and a variable fit that can be worn as tight or as loose as you like. With an unlined upper, expect the Lynx to stretch up to a full size.

Zenith Pro® rubber is Boreal's pro level compound featured on their highest performance rock climbing shoes. This compound excels on low friction routes and overhangs, but it also maintains an ability to hold micro edges. A true high-performance rubber available from the brand who invented "sticky" rubber as we know it today.
Double rand (as opposed to the standard single rand on climbing shoes) provides double the tension for a perfect fit of the heel and arch.
