Boreal Kintaro Women's Climbing Shoe
Who says high-performance has to mean uncomfortable? The Boreal Kintaro Women's is designed for technicality. A downturned profile, high asymmetry, and Zenith Pro rubber (Boreal's highest-friction compound) add up to a precise, grippy, and powerful adept at technical overhanging climbing. But its foot-friendly design ensures a level of comfort that can be worn for longer with less pain. The upper is an unlined leather which will stretch and mould to your foot for a custom fit, and it also offers a high level of breathability for comfort on warmer days and during long indoor sessions. This breathability is enhanced by a mesh-lined tongue, which also adds comfort. A moulded 3D heel cup provides a secure, suction-like fit of the heel, and a double-tension V2 rand ensures there is no heel slipping when standing on edges or performing heel blocks. Not forgetting the small features, Boreal have designed the upper velcro strap with a wider design to help eliminate painful cramps that sometimes occur with velcro shoes.
The Kintaro is everything you need from a medium-aggressive shoe: precision, power, and friction, but with a comfortable design that can be worn all day. When buying, bear in mind that the unlined upper will stretch up to a full size.

Zenith Pro® rubber is Boreal's pro level compound featured on their highest performance rock climbing shoes. This compound excels on low friction routes and overhangs, but it also maintains an ability to hold micro edges. A true high-performance rubber available from the brand who invented "sticky" rubber as we know it today.
Double rand (as opposed to the standard single rand on climbing shoes) provides double the tension for a perfect fit of the heel and arch.
