Elsewhere, the Thermostatic Jacket is ultra-compressible and packs into its own pocket, which has a carabiner loop for clipping to your rack or pack, while harness- and pack-compatible hand pockets are ideal for storing essentials, and dual hem adjustment cords and elasticated cuffs help to seal in the warmth whether you’re standing at a chilly belay or at the top of an icy summit.

Thermal.Q Elite
Mountain Hardwear’s proprietary insulation, Thermal.Q Elite, is made up of synthetic fibres that mimic the properties of down, and is therefore 20% warmer than other synthetic insulators – with the added bonus of being completely waterproof. Thermal.Q Elite is made up of thick and thin fibres, just like down, with the thicker fibres creating extra loft and resilience and the thin fibres filing in the gaps. The result is incredibly effective insulation that’s light and compressible without losing any of its warmth.
Stow Sack Pockets
The Mountain Hardware jacket can be packed down and stored in one of its pockets, so you can easily store it in your pack or clip it to your rack. This saves loads of space and makes jackets with this feature the ideal just-in-case items for climbing, ski touring and mountaineering.
