Sea to Summit Comfort Light Mat
The Sea to Summit Comfort Light Mat is a lightweight, packable sleeping mat that provides exceptional comfort and is perfect for summer climbing missions. Like its sibling model, the UltraLight Mat, the Sea to Summit Comfort Light Mat utilises the same dot-welded structure of interconnected air pockets, but with a section of double-layer of tightly-spaced cells around the torso area. This means better weight distribution where most of your body weight is concentrated without adding too much extra weight to the mat. Elsewhere, the Multi-Function valve and antimicrobial TPU lining mean you can get a great night’s sleep with minimal faff, and be fresh for a full day of climbing.

Air Sprung Cells
Sea to Summit’s Air Sprung Cells combine durability and lightweight packability with the comfort of a mattress. Designed to mimic the structure of a pocket spring mattress, Sea to Summit’s sleeping mats have a dot-weld pattern construction, which creates a high-surface-area series of interconnected air chambers. Each chamber behaves independently according to where you place your body weight, allowing the mat to conform to your body without sinking and forming uncomfortable pressure points.
Hybrid Layer Cells
Sea to Summit’s hybrid layer construction is a clever combination of single layer air-sprung cells and double-layer air-sprung cells which increases comfort without dramatically affecting the weight. The double-layer of cells is placed in a concentrated weight zone, like the torso, which provides more even and comfortable weight distribution where you need it most. Lighter areas, like arms and legs, are still super comfortable on a single layer of air cells, which keeps the weight low.
Sea to Summit TPU
Sea to Summit’s own TPU (thermoplastic Polyurethane) coating is applied to the inside of their sleeping mats to stop dirt and water penetrating the air pockets, and increase durability. Applied using a special technique normally reserved for medical and aeronautical equipment, it’s less likely to delam and provides consistent coverage. Sea to Summit’s TPU is also anti-microbial so won’t go mouldy if you inflate your mat using your breath.
The Sea to Summit Multi-Function Valve is a patent-pending inflation and deflation system that makes setting up and packing your sleeping mat simple and easy. The valve consists of an inflate port with a one-way valve to prevent air loss before you seal it, a rapid deflate port and a fine-tune button to adjust the air levels. All of this is contained in a small, low-profile unit and makes life on the go way easier.
